Case Race
Teamwork, strategy, and a whole lot of cans.
About the Game
Case Race is a team competition where groups race to finish a case of drinks. Communication and teamwork are key, but the game should never come at the expense of anyone's safety.
Teams must have at least four people. Larger teams are welcome, and teams should have equal numbers of players whenever possible.
How to Play
- Split everyone into teams of at least four people.
- Give each team an equivalent case of drinks.
- Agree on the rules, boundaries, and end condition before starting.
- Start the competition at the same time for every team.
- The first team to complete the agreed-upon challenge wins, provided all safety rules are followed.
Recommended version: Use nonalcoholic drinks and race to sort, stack, or otherwise complete a team challenge with the case instead of racing to consume its contents.
Rules
- Every team must have at least four people.
- Teams should have equal numbers of players and equivalent supplies.
- No forcing, pressuring, or tricking anyone into drinking.
- No chugging contests or penalties involving alcohol consumption.
- Anyone can sit out or stop participating at any time without penalty.
- Keep the playing area clear of obstacles, broken cans, and spills.
- Settle disagreements before the game starts, not during the race.
Quick Summary
Goal: Compete as a team to finish the agreed-upon challenge first.
Team size: Minimum of four people per team.
Winning: Complete the challenge first while following the rules.
Safety Notice
Drinking large amounts of alcohol in a short period can cause alcohol poisoning. Do not race to consume alcohol, require anyone to finish drinks, or use drinking as a penalty.
Keep water available, take breaks, and make sure everyone has a safe way home. If someone is difficult to wake, has repeated vomiting, has a seizure, or is breathing slowly or irregularly, call emergency services immediately. Do not leave them alone.
