Race, drink, and try not to finish last.
About the Game
Beerio Cart puts a drinking challenge into Mario Kart. Every race requires one beer, but you have to balance drinking with driving and racing. Finish your beer at the wrong time, or finish the cup in last place, and you'll face a shot penalty.
What You Need
- A copy of Mario Kart and a controller for each player.
- One beer per player for every race.
- A group ready to compete across a full cup.
Rules
1. One Beer Per Race
Each player must have one beer for every race. A four-race cup means four beers per player over the course of the cup.
2. No Drinking While Moving
Your kart must be completely stopped before you can drink. You cannot drink while your kart is moving, even if you're falling behind.
3. Finish Lap One Before Finishing Your Beer
You are not allowed to finish your beer until you have completed the first lap. You can drink before then, but you must leave some beer remaining until lap one is finished. This rule is to prevent people from simply slamming their beers at the start of the race.
4. Finish the Race With an Empty Beer
You must finish your beer before completing the race. If you cross the finish line without finishing your beer, you receive a penalty of one shot.
5. Last Place Penalty
After all four races are complete, the player who finishes the cup in last place receives a penalty of one shot.
Penalty Summary
- Beer unfinished at the end of a race: One shot.
- Last place in the overall cup: One shot.
Penalties are based on each individual race and the final cup standings, so a player may receive more than one penalty over the course of a cup.
